About The Motectum Vocal Ensemble

The Motectum Vocal Ensemble consists of experienced soloists united by their love for early music.

Our current lineup includes: Sissy Kotsoni, Anta Kostourou (soprano), Mado Mantziou, Marissa Bili (mezzi), Takis Tzevelekos, Nikos Andreadakis (tenori), Yannis Vryzakis  and Andreas Metaxas-Mariatos (baritoni).

Meet The Members

Sissy Kotsoni: Studied music theory, renaissance singing, a classical singing diploma holder. She was a member of Lyrae Cantus, and Musica Sacra.

Anta Kostourou: A vocal diploma holder, she has participated in recordings of modern songs and performances with the Athens Chamber Opera and as a choir member and soloist.

Mado Mantziou: Holds diplomas in classical singing and advanced music theory, also studied classical guitar. She has performed in several musical-theatrical productions and festivals in Athens and abroad and is also a practicing occupational therapist.

Marissa Bili: Mezzo-soprano, a graduate of the Tiroler Landeskonservatorium. Actively involved in free vocal improvisation, festivals, and concerts. Also composes music for performances.

Takis Tzevelekos: Graduate of the Department of Music Studies. He has collaborated with the ERT Choir and other professional vocal groups. Works as a Physics and Music teacher.

Nikos Andreadakis: He studied Classical Singing, piano and music theory. He is also part of the vocal quartet "Vox Sinceris". Works as a lawyer.

Andreas Metaxas-Mariatos: Baritone, architect, studied piano. He has been a professional choir member since 2011 and participates in productions of the Greek National Opera.

Yannis Vryzakis: Holds diplomas in Choral Direction, Classical Singing,  Melodramatic Art and Advanced Music Theory. He founded Motectum Vocal Ensemble and Chorus Vivendi Ensemble, he is also Conductor of Panteion University Mixed Choir. He teaches Choral Direction and Singing.
